Commemorating September 11 - 1973 and 2001

On September 11, 1973, the lawfully and democratically elected president of Chile, Salvador Allende, shot himself after giving a speech, vowing not to resign in the sight of the military surrounding the presidential palace.

The military coup d'etat helping General Augusto Pinochet to then install his dictatorship in Chile was assisted by experts in state terrorism, euphemistically referred to as Central Intelligence Agency. One of the architects of this terrorist act was a later Peace Nobel Prize winner and former US secretary of state, known as Henry Kissinger.

9/11 has a tradition as a date of committing historic crime, it seems...

In 2001, 2,976 people lost their lives in the attacks on the World Trade Center. 48,644 Afghan people and more than 1.6 million Iraqi people paying the price for a crime they never committed should be remembered as well, IMO.
