Shame on you, Frau Merkel!! (Still, or once again...)

I'm feeling ashamed for my home country... the German federal government has officially passed the export deal of a total of 164 tanks with the Indonesian goverment on Wednesday, May 8, 2013. German arms producer Rheinmetall has received an export permit for 104 Leopard II battle tanks (see picture in the news report link), four ARVs (armored recovery vehicles), three AERVs (amphibious engineer reconnaisance vehicles), three AVLBs (armored vehicle-launched bridges) and an order of 50 Marder 1A2 model APCs (armored personnel carriers).

German news reports:

According to Reuters, the federal government approved of the tanks deal on Friday, May 3, already... I just wonder, why they waited until May 8 (VE day!!) to announce it...

Regardless of when it was decided upon, this is very sad news for the people in West-Papua and East-Timor... more German weapons for SBY's troops to oppress and kill...

Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) inspecting his special forces - equipped with German Heckler & Koch MP 5 semi-automatics.

German news only reported shortly about this prime-time, but at least reported, that human rights organizations, the German socialist party "Die Linke" and the German Green Party are warning about possible human rights violations and the use of these tanks against "ethnic minorities"... without avail, though.

To be precise: atrocities and killings, using German arms, are not just "possible" or "probable" - they're already taking place! And it's not "ethnic minorities", it's people living in their home land, which has been illegally invaded and which is illegally occupied by Indonesian troops!
Yes, this president is a wanted major criminal!

German arms dealers don't give a shit about human rights... Rheinmetall is most likely counting their income already, and German economy politicians are most likely beating their own chests, proclaiming this to be another great step in "us" staying on top of the exporting nations chart. And politicians in general are rather pussyfooting around, than doing their job of having a wanted major criminal arrested and put to justice in court. No, they rather invite him to have some dinner, a little chit-chat and buying tanks at cheap prices...

From right to left: German Bundespräsident Joachim Gauck, Indonesian president and wanted criminal Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), his wife Kristiani Herawati (also known as Ani Bambang Yudhoyono - a daughter of Colonel Sarwo Edhie, who led killings in Irian Jaya in 1969, commanding the "Red Berets"), Daniela Schadt, current cohabitant of President Gauck

Yeah, once again the old quote by German lyricist and author Heinrich Heine is all too true:

"Der Tod ist ein Meister aus Deutschland" - Death is a German master...

Ironically, Heinrich Heine is from Düsseldorf... the very same city, where Rheinmetall have their corporate headquarters. Second and very bitter irony: announcing the deal on May 8... VE Day - the anniversary of Germany's surrender to allied forces and the ending of World War II in Europe...
